But wouldn't God know this? Don't you think God would feel sincerity is important? I mean, if you go into a court of law and plead innocent, does this immediately make you innocent? Not the greatest comparison, granted, but still. One should be religious because they believe strongly in their religion and or their God, not because they are afraid of it.
