The pilots were informed, and the plane made an emergency landing in Sweden. The plane was evacuated, the man was detained and is being questioned.

In my opinion, this happens way too often. Just last month, a man was threatening to hijack a plane. Why do people do this if they know it's not going to happen? Obviously, the police aren't going to stand aside to let you kill hundreds of people with an explosive device or other weapon.
