The president is the one who signs treaties.

True, but Congress has to approve his signing of such, and if they don't, it doesn't get passed.

forget, if this law gets passed,  I want to move to Ontario, Canada.

The president is the one who signs treaties.
It's not a treaty, but he has the power to veto it.

Hopefully such a thing wont get passed.

I don't know how long it will take
but if this gets passed or they keep making stuff like this there WILL be a bombing by SOMEONE

This is one of the most ambitious attempts yet from the U.S. government to fight online piracy. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have pledged this year to help protect U.S. intellectual property. In June, Biden made headlines when he said: "Piracy is theft, clean and simple. It's smash and grab."

Tom

He also says he wants to promote a free internet. Just because he wants to protect IP doesn't mean he likes this particular way of doing it.

Piracy will go on no matter what. It's not like every single person in America does it.

Tom

There still needs to be an effort to stop it. You probably wouldn't like it if someone stole your Blockland build and got all the credit for it.

Pledging to help protect property is not the same as showing support toward a mostly irreverent bill.

Pledging to help protect property is not the same as showing support toward a mostly irreverent bill.

The entire point of this bill is to protect intellectual property and copyrighted work. He has shown support for protecting intellectual property and copyrighted work. Thus, his support for protecting intellectual property is very relevant to this act.
