no. The united states in its earlier days, inc all of the first world, had gone through these issues as well.
the better people rise above it, and take control of themselves and evolve.
the others just become feed for the better people. and die out like they should.

the fact is, the world is horribly overpopulated as is. even if everyone got over greed and conflict, and helped each other out. its not possible anymore.
