Author Topic: What is a good gaming computer?  (Read 1226 times)

I would like to see one that has:

  • About a TB of hard drive space
  • Over 4 gigabytes of ram
  • A good processor
  • A good graphics card
  • Can run games such as Gmod, TF2, L4D2, Minecraft, etc at great FPS
  • Below 2000$

Maybe this year or the next I can get a computer of my own and I'd like you cool cats to suggest me a computer (preferably pre-built) that can meet the requirements of the list.

Every computer.
Mine is a gaming comp, with what you asked, only $600.

Though I will keep this site in mind in case I can find a computer-builder.

Alienware
Gateway
Dell
Asus
Acer

Check their sites. They may have some good ones.

Holy ballsack, look at that thing. Does it look like it's worth the money?

Also, what's the liquid in "liquid cooling"? Water or something?

And suddenly, a cheaper more powerful build.
I didn't check compatibilities or anything but this should work, I just threw it together in ten minutes.

He said preferably. Why anyone would spend $200 more to get something less powerful is beyond me.

Can someone refer me to a graphics card? I chose the AMD Phenom II for my custom built computer, but I need to know a good graphics card and motherboard.

GTX 260 has served me well. It maxes out and runs perfectly most everything. There are still a few games it can't quite max out (Just Cause 2 and ARMA 2 come to mind) and it doesn't have DX11, but other than that for the price it's a great card,

If you absolutely NEED pre-built, go with ibuypower.

Of course you're paying extra, but you can put together some nice setups, and they assemble it for you.

Why would you go with a last generation card to save money if hes far underbudget as is
