I hate drivers.
Okay only most drivers. But I still hate drivers. I've been driving for a few years now but today after the longest time I've driven in one day I lost it. It didn't affect the way I was driving at the time, but I just lost it. I'm one of those people who isn't any fun and likes to follow the law. Maybe it's because I'm a boring person, or maybe I just don't like to get in trouble. I don't really know.
Anyway, I'm driving down the street, the speed limit was 35 mph. I was going 35 mph (what a concept!). Car after car passed me, going 40-50. One or two people looked over and looked at me funny. It wasn't necessarily a nasty look, it was more like a "who is this guy and what is he doing". Now here's what I can't figure out: Why do people get irritated with me for following the law? Maybe I didn't pay attention in Driver's Education that day, but aren't people supposed to follow the speed limit? It is, after all, a "speed limit" and not a "speed suggestion", is it not? I don't understand. I've considered getting a bumper sticker that says, although untruthfully, "You wish I was going faster? I wish my friend hadn't been killed by a speeder." Or maybe just "SLOW DOWN, IDIOT." I live in the U.S., by the way, so some of your laws might not be the same as mine.
tl;dr - Drivers who don't follow the law confuse me
Somebody explain to me how this works. Discuss drivers as well.
