How do I get colorsets to work?

I have colorsets in the "addons" folder, but they do not work on their own and don't appear in the addon selection menu in-game. Am I doing something wrong? Don't blame me for not knowing, I never found any form of explanation as to what I'm supposed to do.

When you go to load the game were you choose the map. There should be a button that says choose colorset (something like that). It will be in the box wer you choose the name and stuff. It could be ontop of it. Just in that general area xD. But you slect that and then choose your colorset. then when you load intot he game you should have the colorset you want.
