I wasn't asking how you knew how far they were, because I know you don't. I'm asking how the guys in the first post go and say "we only got 2% to go" when it looks like they're just pretty much guessing. When you DL a file it can tell you exactly how much of the GB you have left to go, but with this... how can they tell they're "65% done" for example if they don't have a set limit? You just go at it until you think you're done.

That number is simply an estimate of how much work has been done on that particular item.
For example, I consider the animations as roughly 40% of the work needed for the land dragon, since there are so many.
The remaining 2% of "other" consists mostly of small "touch-ups" to the scripts and effects. Basically only small, quick things. There are actually only six "things" I need to fix/touch-up, then V1 will be compleat.
And of course my estimates are off most of the time... :P
