How does a dragon breath fire?

I will answer for him, because he most certainly does not know.

There are two reactant liquids that ignite when they mix. Two separate glands contain them, and the Dragon can breath flames for a short time before the reservoirs run out of the chemicals. I don't know exactly how long the fire breath can be maintained or how long it takes for the compounds to refill, but it's definitely real. The Bombardier Beetle is an example of such a mechanism in animate lifeforms.

Dragons have a pouch in their chin called a spark pouch. The dragon finds a peice of flint and a peice of iron and stores it in that pouch. When the dragon wants to breathe fire, it shakes the pouch and spits venom. The flint and iron make a small shower of sparks and the [flammable] venom catches fire.

Whoa holy stuff.

Wait, you told me something diff- nvm, probably I just can't remember correctly :P

How does a dragon breath fire?
I always thought that a dragon had some sort of flamable thingy in its throught and its breath had some sort of flamable chemical in it...so when it breathed out the flammable thingy in its throught would cause the breathe to turn on fire...BUT NVM!

...How did you even come up with that?

The correct answer is..... *drumroll*

Both takato and IKF are correct

No idea i think i heard from one of my friends who was obsessed with dragons like 3 years ago

Both takato and IKF are correct
How can you say that, we said entirely different things.

My exlpanation is correct.

They could be different types of dragons...?

...I'm not entirely sure but I think Takato first told me something different...

...already longer ago :|

Dragons are still dragons, they evolved from each other.

Also, isaac, your explanation is believable, except that I dont think a beetle's mechanism could evolve, without changing, directly to the same thing as a dragon uses.

Nooo I just worded it differently

I didnt wanna type out a whole flippin paragraph trying to explain it

Nice double post

And yes, I do realize that both you and IKF said different things, it just depends on what kind of reality you're looking at.

IT'S COMPLICATED
