I always figured that a Furry is someone who has some kind of animal-like persona, not necessarily a person who has loveual attractions or fantasies about animals or animal-like things. Sadly, it seems that a lot of them(I won't say most or half, 'cause I'm not really sure about the ratio) are sicko forgetheads. But, there are a lot of people who are like that who aren't Furries.
