Author Topic: What happened to slides?  (Read 1857 times)

Why does nobody build slides anymore? They are always so much fun to ride.
They need to become popular again.

Yeah but we need some variety.

The default one never got finished, and it is broken in some spots. Sometimes I randomly fly off the track.

Because people don't realize you can build cool stuff without events.

Alright, we have a motion and seconded, any discussion?

....

All in favor say "Aye", All opposed say "Nay".

For the same reason that people don't build brick-only challenges, either: They see "Ooh, shiny weapons" and download 50 different weapon packs, then only host (T)DMs, or they get the "best" RP mod and want to put it to use, or it's a freebuild.

Not that any of that is bad, it's simply that people don't think about skill-based noncombat low-event ways to play very often these days.

Just need one exceptional 24/7 dedicated server, though, and you can inspire a whole new way to play.

I bet I could think of tons of stuff I could make like that, although I like to work my ass off making tons of some evented TDMs and Challenges.

Third the motion.

I believe that most people think it's DAMN hard to make a slide.

Who wants to sit there going:

*Tap... Tap...*

and planting bricks in a straight diagonal line for an hour?

Now, RPs... that's damn good.

Because slides can only go straight...
