So today, I was sitting in Bio and I got a pass in which I was supposed to get out of class at 2. The only problem was the destination was "go", which I interpreted as I can leave school. So at lunch, I texted my dad, asking him why exactly I was being taken out of school, and the reply confused me - he said I wasn't, or at least he wasn't the one that called it in. So I replied asking him to call the school and clarify, and I would drop by the office after checking in to sixth hour - English 10 - and then going on with it.

I walked into English and the teacher told me right away to go see the office, I was called down. A bit odd, considering I was just about to leave anyway. So I went down there and told the desk lady that I had been called down. She irrelevantly asked if my pass said "go" or "fo", in which she explained "go" meant guidance office (which is stupid, imo) and "fo" means front office. I now realize that she was just clarifying, because she wasn't the one that called me down, she was thinking the "go" did.

So I just went back to class.

Ten problems into correcting my English homework, teacher got a call - "Yeah, he went down... yeah, he's back now... - Gregg, you went to the office right? - ...yeah, he went... okay, I'll send him down."

This time I walked in and was greeted by the guy in the green shirt that was standing there when I went in the first time, so wouldn't you think he would be paying attention if he's expecting someone? We walked back to his office and he said my dad called and sounded annoyed with them because I had informed him someone said I was supposed to be picked up. He again said "go" meant guidance counselor when I informed him I was confused and concerned, and then started interrogating me about it and how I informed my dad of such information. I wasn't afraid to say I texted him, in which he said that phone use was prohibited, and I thought "No stuff sherlock." He asked why I did it again, and I told him the same thing time and time again. He acts like it was a crime to be curious. If his wife called him and asked him to come home, wouldn't he be concerned and call even if he wasn't supposed to make personal calls?

Anyway, I have a very bad opinion of my principal now.

Please vote in the poll and supply some input here. I also want to mention he gave me a citation for phone use which makes sense I guess but he didn't take my phone away.

So yeah.

You didn't do anything wrong.

Did you think of asking the teacher? Or someone? You just texted your dad saying to pick you up?

You didn't do anything wrong.

Which is what I thought.

You misunderstood, I asked my dad why I was supposedly being picked up, and I was going to ask a teacher.

That's perfectly logical in my opinion. I would have done the same thing if I was you... I mean how would you of known that the "go" mean't Guidance Office?

This was confusing as all get out.

Yeah, no kidding. As if it's really that much more difficult to write out at least "guidance".

This was confusing as all get out.

Now you know how I feel lol.

Basically I got a citation for being curious and concerned after what I thought was a pass to get out of school.

Great, chat speakers in real life.

Oh, yeah I guess I misunderstoof then.

No, I do not think you were being arrogant.

Wait what.

I don't know what happened exactly, but my nephew Jeremy got mad at his Principal and pushed the desk at him when the Principal sat down.

Who the forget would interpret "go" as "leave campus"
