Author Topic: Need help choosing a monitor.  (Read 1065 times)

Okay, so I was looking at this monitor, and felt pretty good about it. However, I was telling my computer apps teacher about it and he alerted me to this solid looking deal. Which would you guys recommend?

The Dell one seems to have everything the Asus has minus the speakers, and it is about 1 inch bigger. Price is an important factor too, how much does the Dell cost?

Get the Asus, if you're like me and want them to look good.

I mean on the exterior, not the actual screen.

I'd still go with the NewEgg.

The Dell one is $10 cheaper and has a contrast of 50,000:1 as opposed to the ASUS one which is 20,000:1

Is a higher contrast good?

Why wouldn't you go for the dell monitor?

Well what does your computer apps teacher recommend?

Refurbished :\

Honestly I wouldn't care that much but if they're of more or less equal quality, $10 isn't an outrageous price to pay to get a brand new monitor as opposed to one that's been used, even if it was refurbished.

That monitor is like 250ish dollars new so the savings are pretty nice. The dell one is clearly better so I would go for it even though its refurbished

Unless his computer apps teacher is bad at what he's doing, we don't see this topic carrying very vast points to the frontier.

As if we'd know better.

When I got a new computer, I got a 23'' Dell HD Monitor.

Any other monitor I ever used is nothing compared to this.

Refurbished electronics are usually a good thing. They get an even finer inspection than when the model was first made.
