Author Topic: No one says the pledge?  (Read 8815 times)

So we have to worship it as a God?
No, but you should still respect it, where are you seeing this flag worshiping anyway? All I ever see of the flag is some pissed off group burning it.

Its kind of Ironic that you burn a flag to destroy it respectfully lol

"I pledge allegiance to the flag..."
Yeah my allegiance isn't going to any damn flag.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag..."

The flag represents the country.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands"
Yeah my allegiance isn't going to any damn flag.
Gentlemen.

Gentlemen.
The point of my post was the part about the flag.

The flag represents the country.
Then it should be "I pledge allegiance to the United States of America" or something that doesn't make us sound like we're worshiping the flag.

I don't say the "Under god" part because that's lammmmme

The point of my post was the part about the flag.
I agree that it seems strange in an idol worship kind of way, but I still think one should respect the flag.

Off-Topic: I've been having to put the "l" in flag so much because I'm used to insulting people here.

I pledge allegiance to the flag.     What the hell? Why would I pledge my
Of the United States of America.   allegiance, to a piece of cloth?

And to the Republic, for which it stands.    'Scuse me, this is a Democratic Republic,
One nation, under god, indivisible.             big difference. And also, why is patriotism                                                                                linked with religion?

With liberty and justice for all.    Freedom for all? I do not recall getting the right to bear arms as a                                                child.

Well, it IS a pledge. I dont understadn why we need to say it every day.
Everybody Hates Chris.

But I don't know, maybe you heard it somewhere else.

Everybody Hates Chris.

:3

No, but really, I'm gonna have to agree with Chris on that one. Although I do say it out of respect.

Everybody Hates Chris.
Every episode of EHC:
Chris: I have a project due.
Greg: Oh man, you are soo cool dude, I'll help you
Curuso: I'll take that project because you are black
Older Chris: *insert rant about white people*
Julius: That's .0001 cents worth of paper
EVERYBODY HAYYYYETS CRISS

What the hell? Why would I pledge my allegiance, to a piece of cloth?

'Scuse me, this is a Democratic Republic, big difference.

Freedom for all? I do not recall getting the right to child.
Because it stands for the United States, dumbass.

It's a poem, they'll have to shorten a few things.
Because one of the major reasons Columbus and his pioneers came was so they could practice their own religious beliefs.

Were you a slave when you were born?
No, therefore, you were free, to a great extent.

Columbus came here because he thought the world was round.
