Author Topic: No one says the pledge?  (Read 8808 times)

Well, it IS a pledge. I dont understadn why we need to say it every day.
It's a pledge, not an oath.

I never said it either, mostly cause of the "under god" part.

this

I don't say it because A. I'm lazy and B. you didn't need to know that, so I'll just pretend it's because of the 'under god' part.

I'm in my senior year of highschool and they still make us get up. Neither I nor anyone else says it. I guess after making us say the same thing every school day for 12 years straight we have all gotten pretty sick of it.

I don't even stand up. My teacher cares, I just told him why. :D

All you friends that are saying

"LUL I GONA SUE DEM"

It takes a pretty good chunk a money to even start sueing.

Also, almost all lawyers will NOT refund your money back if you lose the case

loving stupids

Then it should be "I pledge allegiance to the United States of America" or something that doesn't make us sound like we're worshiping the flag.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America..."
Point stated? The flag represents our country, we have the flag to honor those that died for our freedom. That's why, at funerals for(I think) service members(army, ect...), they have a flag on the coffin.

It's not required as much due to other religions in the US. Like, what if there was a hindu at your school?
