Bricks are like plants.
They react on music.

"I know you have a lot of food on your plate, Brains are quite rich in cholesterol..."
Zombies react with brains, BRAINS.

Trance music+Building=Much more focus, and a lot more patience.

Music gives me more patience and I work on stuff longer, but still working on my building skills... after retail came out I lost them all lol

Wepon -remix keeps me going on dm's

Sometimes i shoot to the rythm :s

Nothing to do with building tho :s
This just gave me a serious case of deja vu.

I listened to the Tank theme from L4D while building this.

I say it does influence building. I can't usually build that well.

Listening to music from any of the Metroid games tends to help me pull through on Trench TDMs. It just makes the entire thing seem so epic. And when listening to futuristic or alienish music(like Metroid music) I seem to want to use ramps a lot more and my builds look really futuristic. Really helps when I'm working on my spaceship...

But yes, I think that music influences building. It inspires me to build differently, and that helps me to expand in my building skills. Music helps me focus, which is why it takes me forever to finish my schoolwork without my music going. Heck, I can't even focus if I don't have my headphones on. That's why I sometimes just wear my headphones without any music playing because headphones help me focus. Probably because I'm able to make myself think that music is playing.

It also seems that I can type faster when I'm listening to music, depending on the speed. The faster the base beat, the faster I'm able to react.

Music, it seems, can influence several things. Faster music might make things seem faster or you move with the beat, same with slow music. Slow music seems to make scenes more dramatic, so they do good for slow-mo scenes in movies and stuff.

 Just my opinion...

I haven't really listened to music whilst playing much, but have on rare occasions.

For example, once I was building a house, got the exterior finished but then couldn't think of an interior. For some reason I decided to watch "Grand Designs" for inspiration...Now I know that that particular TV show sucks quite a lot. The buildings in it didn't inspire me at all...
However, the music to the credits did and I managed to finish my house after suddenly getting an idea... :-)

It is said that the faster the music you listen to whilst DRIVING, the faster you drive without knowing, and this seems similar with building, and I find it as well as several other who have posted. If I listen to some random techno track, I build a LOT quicker and if I like the music, I tend to build better.

If there's one music track that's really inspired me to create something it's the random music that occurs every so often in Minecraft...so quiet and melodious. Build a terrain and loads of trees after listening to it :-)

I dont listen to music while building >:)

I often play music while building (Don't know if that counts?) , never really get much done though.

To be honest, I listen to this while i build.

I listen to Hindi and Sanskrit pop songs when I go infinite mining. Like Shaa Ra Ra by Daler Mendhi or Mukala Mukabala(sp?) by Prabhu Deva. :D

It depends.

Ill usually listen to creepy songs if building horror things, and sad songs if building sad things.

I wont explain what I make when I listen to techno tho

Clientside Background Music Player. The blockland tracks are perfect usually for the enviroment, cept for a few special tracks I has onhand.
