Author Topic: Concerned for my PS3  (Read 1913 times)

Okay so I got the new Medal of Honor yesterday night, and was playing the campaign.

A little bit into the second mission, my PS3 got the flashing red light. BUT I was able to restart it fine.
I didn't play it anymore after I test-restarted it, I just turned it right back off (Manually this time, no Flashing red light), and haven't turned it on since. Will it be okay?

It should be okay, however you should google these sort of things first before asking. Try it again, if it breaks, simply return it to the store you got it from and see if they can fix it, or contact Sony support, if there is such a service

I don't think your PS3 is in much danger as of yet
tell us if it starts blinking again

It may or may not have happened before, but that was a long time ago and I may not remember.

I'll test it again in a bit and report back later.

This is why you have such a high post count
If you're going to post in a thread requesting help, actually post some information the OP can use

I'm surprised the first post/first 2 posts was actually HELPFUL and not

and I am getting a PS3 Slim.

friends.

Stuff like this happened to my Xbox sometimes (not 360).
Really, the only thing you should be worried about is it crashing when you didn't save or whatnot.

My PS3 still plays PS2/1 games. friends. (I think the newer models don't or something like that?)

I'm pretty sure that's the PS3 protecting itself from heat damage. Is it well ventilated? No clutter around the system, lots of room for it to breath?

Its basically a fail-safe system.

Well...

As long as there is some space in the back and the side where the main vents are, it should be fine from heat damage.
In that case I'm completely wrong.

Otherwise make room for it or something.
