The world can end at any time, so it could end in 2012.

But the fact that a civilization hundreds of years ago knew the world was gonna end in the future, that's extremely weird.

Then again, going to the conspiracy about aliens, the Mayans DID set up their temples in an astronomical formation, which is weird, as they be told that alien game.

I don't really want to start something, but the idea of the Mayan's somehow knowing the end of the word in the future is weird, and opens up many other conspiracies relating to it.
