Author Topic: I'M MAD AS HELL - One Billion Starving  (Read 16571 times)

Bisjac, I'd actually call you tribal for your last statement.
However, all of your statements are true. Even IF we pumped millions up in those countrys, I doubt they could use it so it keeps there in material and financial values. So pretty much everything is just about to get back to imperialism. Countrys were under wealthy hands back there, they had actually trained peoples and got paid for pretty much everything.

Imperialism - Grow large navy to show how powerful you are.

Read the thread, not sad.

If they want the food that I throw away, they can come over here and get it.

If they're so hungry, they can eat a pusillanimous individual.
I mean, c'mon, theres plenty to go around, I'm sure.

You're cool because you said pusillanimous individual

Its ok to be upset about world hunger but the reason why people starve is because their goverment is a mess. America can only do so much and of course people donating more money to charity would be better but again like I said, the reason why people starve is because of their goverment.

So, I am sure this thread is already full of stuff, so I will add a little seriousness.

Imagine a company that could create a poor-working task force.

The company would buy a large plot of land (-$), then employ job-less Americans that are willing to work (-$).

But then, after the structure is finished, the company could tell the workers, that since they helped in the building they could get a discount in a small, roughly apartment sized room. Complete with electricity and water, the rooms would be in the budget of a poorer American, but would still allow the company a profit (+$).

Now, after they continue to get a few hundred people staying in this huge complex, they could open up a factory of some sort, depending on what the company decides on. It would employ the residents in the same huge warehouse type building and as their payment for working in the factory, they could stay in their rooms.

The company is exporting a product, without paying it's workers individually (+$).

Opinions?

this thread. fails. hard. and the op is a hippie

The poor, weak, and stupid should die.

Natural selection.  We forgeted it up by living in large communities, but whatever.

Didn't even notice that the first time I posted.

That gives me a weird undertone of Communism or Socialism for some reason.

thats what china does. the factories people work at, also house them. with communities run by social workers, that monitor everything people do, inc procreation.
but with the extreme domestic pressure to keep your home, you basically become the companies bitch. you are afraid to lose your job as it is your entire life. you dont climb any corporate ladder because you cant.
and its the beginning of a loss of human rights. as these types of systems only work when the government owns and runs them, not private business owners.

I notice how everyone points out the cons in communism but never the pros.
