Or people who are technologically savy but like the GUI?

Not all mac users are idiots.

Although what pisses me off is that MBPs have extra vents.

My macbook can get 90º fahrenheit which is practically on fire.
I believe you mean Celsius. 90º Fahrenheit is colder than your core body temperature, also pretty much all laptops get that hot.

90º Celsius would be more than on fire. In fact, I think your whole house would be in danger at that point.

Ah, but can it run every other VALVe game?

That doesn't stop it from being a gaming machine.

I meat celsius.

Whoops.

90º Celsius would be more than on fire. In fact, I think your whole house would be in danger at that point.
Not necessarily.

It's a laptop and it doesn't crash so obviously it won't kill it.

But it's still very very hot.

My Gateway laptop from 2003 can play TF2 on medium/high settings at 40-50 FPS.
TF2 isn't a very intensive game.

My GPU has gotten up to 90º before. 92º to be precise, and it didn't crash.

My laptop gets really hot, but I havn't cared enough to see how hot.

My old laptop would run at 75 celsius when it was heavily strained.

I left something running and went to sleep not realizing it was still open, and when I woke up half the motherboard was part of the table.

90 celsius is srsly not very safe bro. They can run at that sort of temperature but they really shouldn't - my new computer is sort of upper-middle-class in an Antec 900 with no extra cooling features, just the basic case fans, and I'm yet to even get the system above room temperature. Then again I don't really play many high-spec games, since almost every game that's hard on your system now is an FPS game and I stopped enjoying them around the release of Deus Ex 2.

Ok, so Source is weak,

But with Parallels,

FSX and Call of Duty MW2 work perfect

CoD4 and BF2142 work perfect on the mac.

Tip: Don't leave your macbook pro on for a long time if you are not using it. The casing is made of loving metal and gets very hot.
