It has been days since I had seen another fellow Evacuator. I was hired By the army and stationed in Oregon. I was in constant communication with the home base until one of those cursed zombies broke my radio. Now I am just as vulnerable as anyone else...
I start out from the apartment that I have been using as a makeshift shelter. There has not been a sighting of zombies in the streets for days. Something is wrong, I just don't know what. I decide that today is probably the only chance that I will get to make a run for it. I am not sure of any infection-free zones, but I heard that they have set up a base in Arizona to shelter the survivors.
This is my destination.
I make my way out the sliding glass door and step onto the streets. The cool breeze feels good, I had not felt it in many days. As i make my way down the streets, I hear something. It's-It's a cry for help! I rush to the sound, not caring how much sound I make. When I get to the source of the sound, I see a woman huddled in a corner. "It's okay." I said, "I'm going to a safe zone. You can come too." The woman lifted her head up and I saw that the skin was pealing off. "What is going on?!?" I thought to myself. Then I realized that it was a trap. Zombies started pouring out of doors, windows, and just about anything that could contain a large creature. I started shooting them with my pistol, but realized that they are getting too close and I would just be wasting my ammo. I take them all down with my spiked bat in about five minutes. I hot-wire the nearest car and speed out of the neighborhood, off to Arizona...
