Author Topic: I went to see 'Muse: The Resistance Tour 2010'  (Read 2169 times)

It was my first time going to a concert, it was in the arena where the New York Islanders play Hockey, which, the New York Islanders are my second favorite team (i don't know, maybe because they're New York? Or i just played as them in old Hockey games if not the New York Rangers?), it was AMAZING, the opening act Metric was great, but due to the loud music and my ears not being used to music that loud, i couldn't hear the lyrics too well, but the rest of the music sounded great

When Muse came out, the entire crowd just went nuts and all i could hear was an entire crowd cheering, some songs Muse started playing had these awesome green lasers doing all kinds of different things, a bunch of differently colored lights, the effects on the screens that are on the towers Muse has on stage with them was awesome

Something funny though that i didn't expect to happen, during their song 'Newborn' i think it was, getting to the solo, something blew and all you heard was the crowd saying "AAAWW!", they got stuff back up and running in a short while, then they continued from where they left off

Being that there was 6 of us, we had to order a limo that could carry 6 passengers, this was my first time in a limo, it was weird, but looking out the window and looking at all the buildings, cars, people, lights and looking at the sky as it started to get dark was amusing to me, also, we got these neat-o red seats with a front view of the stage, although it was at the right corner of the arena, it was still a great view of the stage, and the only people that were close to us were the ones above and below us, so we barely had anyone blocking our view of the stage

Also, at the concession stand, while i sat waiting in my seat, i was gotten a hotdog (which was longer than the usual hotdogs i eat) and a box of M&M's, but i ate those while Metric was on stage, i kind of wanted to save one of them for when Muse came on so i could enjoy eating something while enjoy listening to music i like, but oh well, i would've had a cold cup of Pepsi, but i didn't want to have to leave my seat and wait in line to use the bathroom

Before we went in waiting for the concert to start, we went to buy some souvenirs, i bought two shirts with Muse's Resistance album cover on it, i wish i had remembered to bring my camera and to put new batteries in it, then i could've taken pictures of the concert, but i didn't...

We left around 5 PM and we didn't come home until around 11 PM, that's the longest i've stayed out and i was really tired when i got home, and my head was hurting from the loud music, but it was worth it and i had a great time

Edit: Souvies!! :D

You lucky dog. I've never been to a concert. No good groups or bands come play in my state anymore.

I loving love muse. Best band evar.

If you're talking about the far left of the picture with the front view of the black Muse shirt, that is one of the many Baseball hat patterns on my sheet
