Author Topic: Add bricks?  (Read 2794 times)

How do you add bricks to Retail?
I've tried creating a "1x5F.blb" file in "\Blockland\base\data\bricks\flats" and also adding a picture "1x5F.png" to "\Blockland\base\client\ui\brickIcons" but it doesn't show up ingame or anything, what else do i need to do?
And if i add a new brick, will other people be able to use/see it on my server?

Ah cheers, can someone please move this thread?

oh, hehe, sorry, was about to paste that datablock here  too, thankies.

Ugh... why isn't Badspot helping?, his game won't survive without the modding community.
I can't even change the Jet Force in retail. :/

The reason he has not replied yet because he, like all humans requires something called sleep.

Badspot is only one person, he needs to sleep, eat, drink and have a social life.

He can't be on the internet all the time catering to you peoples needs.

EDIT: Idk how then.

And you just need to do that??
-.- It looks too easy, there must be something else that has to be done.

That doesn't work, it's exactly what i have done, i also added a picture after i noticed it didn't work.

And i know that Badspot needs to sleep and eat and whatever, but hells, we all paid for this and should atleast get alittle help. He should have released a small help file or tutorial or something with the game. And yes, i know i know, he might release one later, but then he should have told us about that.
Simply put, he's not giving us enough info. :P

But i guess i can survive in the dark... after all... Blockland Roxxorz! :D

Sorry. I really don't know then.

I'll be "searching" inside Blockland, I think I can get an answer about this.

aint there differnent player types (normal, nojet, quakelike ..)  in the add ons folder?

Yeah i've been fooling around with those (also created my own) but jetForce = x doesn't do anything and i haven't found any other way to edit the Jet Force, also those player types are for Mini-Games only (it seems) and i want it to apply to the player always.

Something like jetforce will be changable in the console won't it ? What you need to know is the command name it uses. Badspot may have changed most of them, and with the files DSO'd you can't find the right names out.

So, people need to try things like jet=20, jetthrust=20, jetter=20  etc. until its found.

Either that or wait for released info on some of these things. Personally i'd like a bit more thrust and speed just to get around quicker, but i can live with it for now.

You have to remember too that this game is out barely 2 days and everyones moaning about "i can't do this, i can't mod that". Give it time.
