I can hear 16.7kHz clearly but after that I can barely hear them. :(

Don't try this at home kiddies, but:

If you put a frequency of 4 in one ear and 6 in the other, and are listening to it on high quality noise canceling headphones and cover your eyes, you feel high.

Its strange.
