hopefully this will all be fixed tomorrow :D

Is there a way to unlock the cache database so we can start multiple copies of blockland from the same folder?
No. Not without breaking the game and stopping it from working.
being able to connect to your own dedicated server is extreemly useful.
Make different folders. You can still connect to your own dedicated server this way.

Nothing is broken. People are doing things incorrectly.

I'm running fully updated snow leopard, and it continues to fail the datachache thing. Would you like me to upload a console or log of some type?

Come on dude give me a break here.  What do you mean by "fail".  Does it crash with a message does it freeze does it take a long time what?  I can't believe how common a problem simple loving communication is.

lol well it is a mac user after all. the fact that they have an apple on the machine means they lack basic understanding of computers.

*leaves the topic trolling mac'ers

What? That isn't it at all, There are a lot of kids on the internet and on Blockland, we can't expect them to know how to do everything. They are going to have constant problems that no one can help them with as they cannot explain things clear enough for anything to be done at all. Pretty much you would have to keep asking questions and ticking things off one by one until people learn how to explain in detail...

Sorry, I'm not trying to make trouble. It says Building Cache Database then stops with an error window opening and saying:

Blockland: Sqlite Error

Blockland could not write to cache database.

Do not run the game from the mounted image.

I click ok. An error message in Blockland pops up saying: Couldn't write to casche database.
This is probably because Blockland does not have permission to write the Blockland folder. This can be caused by running a game from a read-only directory or CD-ROM or from windows permissions settings or from 3rd party security software.
The the game will almost certainy not work.

Just for reference, I downloaded the ZIP file for mac, this is my second time to redownload it. I have deleated anything Blockland related before redownloading. Blockland will also not close, and I have to shutdown my computer just to be able to use anything.

sounds like a mac problem

So, wil private add-on's art files be uploaded to the "master server" for fast download to clients?

Are you running the game from the dmg file?

How long does it take to build cache database? I'm here 15 minutes, with the only non default addon installed being RTB. :/

sounds like a mac problem
forget you I just downloaded and installed the mac version and it works fine.  What do you want from me?  Do you want me to make a video of me installing and running it to prove how loving handicapped your friends are?  What?

First sentence.
