Author Topic: Achievement hunting (steam only)  (Read 1340 times)

This might seem stupid to certain people who disagree with achievement hunting, but if you need help or know how to complete an achievement on a game then you should post it here, or say if you need people to help you with an achievement. Steam names are required if you want help on getting achievements.

I'm trying to do the same, but on L4d2 for the 360, so i can carry around a gnome :D

If anyone ever needs help with the guardian gnome achievement let me know, that's my favorite one :)

Also I'm trying to get burger tank but cant seem to get people to help me, steam name: alphabravochaly. I'm currently waiting for AVP to finish updating so i cant help or play right now.

i got guarding gnome by myself you stupid pussies
do it on normal

Achievements on steam are a bit stupid, except ones that reward you like on TF2. I like achievements on the xbox because they talley a score, which is really neat.

Which is the exact reason I hate Xbox's achievements.  Steam's are a few awards that you can compare with your friend's to see how far tehy are, and what cool little things they've done.  Xbox makes it a may to show how "good" you are to random people.  It's an annoying system only for little kids to brag about how uber-1337 they are.

The forget are you talking about? They're the same exact thing, only the xbox ones include a points-based system. It's not indicative of your level of skill, it's just a number that represents the amount of achievements you have. In-fact, I rarely hear anyone even mention that number, except when comparing with friends. I like the number because it's just a neat tidbit. It isn't worth anything, but whatever, I just like to see my achievements add up.

The Gamerscore on Xbox is cool because it ranks the challenges, like in how hard they are.
