Unless you all are going into the middle of fights or are supporting each other in combat, I recommend you de-cert the Reinforced Exosuit; it's 3 cert points and unless you're carrying around a ton of guns isn't really worth the cost; you need several extra certs to make the most of it (Medic, Engineer, Heavy Assault, Anti-vehicular). I spent 90% of my career in the Agile exosuit; it's much faster, can use all vehicles, and doesn't sacrifice too much armor or storage space. If I needed to carry around more stuff like guns, I'd just shove the extra gun in my inventory and right click it in the inventory screen to instantly equip it when needed.
Also, get Enhanced Targeting when you reach BR6 and get your first (and only, if on a trial) implant. It will let you see enemy health and armor values, which is useful for kill stealing.
Yea my brothers an I are both on trial (At least until I get a job) and you can't join us until I figure out how the hell everyone else is owning us although we are using the same weapon and hitting.
Chances are they're not using the same weapon.
Try the Suppressor; at first glance it seems like a stuffty SMG but it tears up enemies pretty badly, and the Suppressor loaded up with Armor Piercing rounds will kill MAXes with just 2-3 magazines. It's also extremely accurate, almost as accurate as the Terran Republic's Cycler
The Punisher is also great, load it with regular 9mm ammo and stick an ammo box of Frag grenades or Plasma grenades (the grenade ammo boxes, not the grenades themselves). Pull it out, switch to the launcher firing mode (right click IIRC), change ammo to one of your grenades.
Make sure you have auto-reload off. When you see an enemy, switch to the launcher, fire a grenade at them, then switch back to gun mode and hose them down. Keep in mind that the Punisher is absolutely horrible at range. Might try sticking in an ammo box of Jammer grenades, as it will disable and reset all enemy implants, and disables vehicle weaponry if you get a direct hit on the vehicle. Don't bother with the Punisher's rocket ammo, as it's total crap except against stationary infantry; the rockets aren't anti-vehicle weapons.
If you're on the New Conglomerate, you have the closest ranged rifle; the Gauss Rifle hits hard but quickly looses accuracy at range. Try to keep yourself at a good distance from the enemy, and do not try to out-snipe a Terran using a Cycler; you will loose every time. If you're fighting indoors, keep a Sweeper shotgun, which kills very quickly. If you're on the NC, get the Heavy Assault certification so you can use the Jackhammer, the god of all shotguns. The TR and VS get the Mini-chaingun and Lasher respectively, which while still potent indoors, aren't quite as powerful as the Jackhammer.
Try to loot some enemy weapons. The TR Cycler is an amazing weapon in open fights, as it's extremely accurate (in 4 bullet bursts), has high range, high magazine capacity, and decent damage. Additionally, enemies might not search for you if they hear their own weapons being fired. When I played as a cloaker, I would always try to use a empire-specific pistol belonging to the empire I'm attacking; they will be less likely to search for me if they hear their own weapons going off instead of the high whine of an AMP pistol or the loud crack of a Mag-scatter pistol
I remember this.
I could never get kills, and if you are infantry you always get killed by a sniper.
and a tank.
and a gunship.
then a MAX.
then a, what are they called, Mechs or whatever.
then a squad of infantry.
the only fun part is CQC, when infantry and the newbies get some XP.
:edit; BFRs thats what those mech things are.
Join an outfit like the Azure Twilight (VS) or some other ones that I can't remember from the other empires. They usually have squads open for you to join, and most have scheduled raids when a lot of the outfit members come online and platoon up. You'll get some combat experience when in a squad, and even more when in a platoon, and you can have your outfit buddies meat shield for you while you hang back and pick off enemies.
