Maybe a burglar?

Ok, so I was on the computer today playing around with Magix Music Maker and then I heard the doorbell ring. So, after about 30 seconds, I walked to the door but when I was around maybe 5-7 feet away from the door I saw a tall man with a black hat on top of his head just walking away. Could this be a burglar?

EDIT: And btw, it was around 11:30 AM
