Must... have... movers!

But seriously, is there a plan to put these back in?

Also the key, I miss having the power to lock someone out of my house.

Just my thoughts. Any input on this would be great. Tried searching and found nothing.

Thanks in advance

So you are saying you don't want doors to be able to open? Or any other things like that?

Yes. If you want to, go get the bundled with v0002 1.045 of return to blockland. wait for RTB 2.0 for movers in retail.

Snot nailed this on the head. You can't put movers "back" in, since they were never intended to be in Blockland in the first place. Blockland (and definitely RTB) will never be the same. I look forward to seeing what happens in the future. :)

I don't want movers if they look like ass.  or rtb's.

Ding.  This is the crux of the problem.  Making movers is easy, making quality movers that don't look weird and work well in multi-player is a significant software engineering problem.  Even in marble blast ultra which has moving platforms in single player, they don't have any in the multi-player maps because it was just too hard to get it to work correctly.

More interaction would definitely be fun, and I've got some cool ideas for how to do it, but right now there are more important issues.

What about preset animations in a shape file, Say, A door brick, that is called by a script when the object is collided with, or when another object is collided with?

I don't think that will work, but you have a good idea. Not every brick should be a mover, maybe just preset bricks.

I'm working on making movers in retail using a different method. Hopefully i'll have a nice preview in my server soon.

I was thinking about the door thing earlier and I figured it would be pretty easy to have a door that faded into the "destroyed mode" from DMs when you press left click without an item in your hand, and then faded back after a few seconds. And killed anyone who happened to be standing on the spot when it returned.

Kinda enforces the saying 'Don't let the door hit you on your way out' lol

Wow, I didn't mean to cause a ruckus. I was just expressing my opinion for wanting doors and the like.

I do however appreciate that BS came in here, I like to know that the developer takes these things into consideration.

I wasn't trying to bash the game in any way. I'm loving it. I bought it as soon as I found out we could, didn't even download the demo first.
