About This is an annual event to determine the best Blockland movie of 2010! It will take up the entire month of December. Any clan, independent organization, or individual may submit a new or previously created movie in the competition. As for right now, there are four categories to submit movies to. They are as follows:
-Action
-Drama
-Comedy
-Misc.
A first place winner will be determined for each category, and they will hold the title of "Voted best (Action/Drama/Comedy/Miscellaneous) Movie of 2010!" Then, the first place winner will have a final round to determine the very best movie overall of 2010. (See

Judging This contest will consist of 3 consecutive rounds:
Round 1 - Will determine the top three submissions per category. The 3 judges deciding this are Freeze, Treynolds416, and Unwritten Calendar. To be fair, that is all of the influence they will get. The general public will do most of the deciding.
Round 2 - Jan. 3rd-30th, The top person from each category goes into final round.
Round 3- The final round. All of the finalists, (one from each category), will all compete for the title of “Best Movie of 2010”. The winner will be announced right on the first of February.

Important DatesThe dates and times for the normal plan are as follows...
November 1st - Applications opened
December 30th - Final application due date
January 2nd - Top three per category determined
January 3rd - The top person from each category goes into final round.
February 1st - Public voting is closed and the winner is announced along with second and third for each category, awards are given out.
Prep time – Novemeber 1st through December 30th
Actual contest – January 1st through February 1st
PrizesEveryone who enters - A good time, the joy of competition, etc. (So generous I know)
Round 1 winners - Bragging rights
Round 2 winners – Plaque proclaiming “Voted best _______ Movie of 2010!", CFS admission.
Round 3 winner - $10 Steam gift card, possibly secret prize as well
If you win something, you get all lower prizes as well, so a Round 2 winner would get a plaque, CFS admission, bragging rights, a good time, the joy of competition, and etc.
Extra Requirements - Only the director/main contributor to the movie may enter it in the contest.
- You may only enter 5 movies total into the contest, so choose wisely!
- You may only enter 2 movies per category
- You are allowed to have help on the movie, but if you had a large amount of people helping, like in Away At War 2, you are going to need to have a big discussion on who gets the prize if you win, or how you'll split it.
- The only people that would get CFS admission would be the main people that helped. Please specify up to three people that you would want to have CFS admission
- No time limit or requirement
- They CAN be animated
- Have fun with it!
