Okay, as the title says, make up a timeline for the future. Don't do "the world gets nuked by zombies with guns" crap. I'll start.
2018: The government controls most everything in America.
2021: Project Guardian starts. (Robot policemen, infantrymen, etc.)
2023: P.A.R.E. forms. (People against robotic engineering)
2025: The Safekeeper is completed. This computer is the best supercomputer ever made. It will control robots from policemen to fighter jets.
2025: Robots mass-produced. The CopBot has a standard issue riot-control mark IV X-15 submachine gun. The infantry bots have .50 caliber machine guns.
2025: P.A.R.E. is now the largest group in the United States. They get more serious with their protests.
2026: Desperate for oil, the government deploys said bots into the middle East.
March 4, 2026: P.A.R.E. changes the world for ever. A scientists hacks into The Safekeeper and enters these deadly words into the console: Target_Parameters: ___. Before he can attempt to make the robots shoot eachother, a military personnel walks in, runs up and arrests him, not knowing much about computers, he dismisses the open console window and takes him to prison. Without any target parameters, the robots do not know who and what to shoot.
Later that day: On a crowded street corner in New York city, no one expected what would happen. A CopBot turned to the crowd, and open fired. As did every other bot in the world. With Infantry Bots in Asia AND America, no one knew what would happen.
