I don't understand, if it was a ligament religion then why do they press it on their kids when they are expected to believe anything they say, including stuff like the legend of santa clause and stuff.

If there was anything to it at all, then parents should wait until their kids are in their teens at least, then give them the beliefs of the faith and let their kids make a logical informed choice about what religion they want to pick, if any.
