Author Topic: loving old people looking down on teens.  (Read 9551 times)

I wonder what you're gonna say to kids when you reach that age.

Is your dad's girlfriend hot?

For an old guy to date her, she has to be.

I realize that, but what you don't seem to realize is that it goes both ways. I dislike them because they dislike me, they dislike me because I dislike them.

Not really. I understood what you said. What I'm saying is that you need to respect them first, even if they don't respect you back. This is how the world works. To get what you want, you must give them what they want.

If you have to send like 30 text messages a day then you are a friend

Because friends have lives.

Is your dad's girlfriend hot?

Lol'd.

You have a life just because you can't keep you phone in your pocket for an unimportant message from a most likely unfunny friend.

I'm just saying if she is hot Caution is probably mad that he gets sent to bed while his dad gets to finger bang her every night.

Welcome to my world. I am also so loving tired of being judged as an idiot just because I'm young. I'm a good person in real life. These people just yell at me assuming something was me because I'm a preteen. Well I guese that's gonna happen to you now especially when you live in a suburb in Detroit.

op is HELLA mad.

What an observant comment.

...which is what they seem to believe.

forget no.

It's hard to say what the kids will be like then.

My dad's actually younger.

I can't change the world by myself. Even if I correct their views it's bound to be shot down by people my age that actually are idiots. Which really is discrimination.

Thank you for that, uh, imagery.

Precisely. <3

Also this entire post was a bunch of replies to warnings.

I don't like old people but just explain to them that "hey im not a bad kid, im actually really nice." It dosen't matter if it's that akward.

not to offend but get the pride out your ass and do it

Or maybe because I like to stay in touch with my real friends, not just the ones on the internet. Sometimes we carry on conversations where a phone call might not suffice.

It takes a single match to start a raging fire. If you start respecting those older than you, they'll have respect for you as an individual. You'll be given opportunity that other people your age will not get. Those people will ask you why you got those opportunities and you can help correct the attitudes of the youth and the mindsets of the elders.

Or maybe you could show some compassion. My older brother doesn't deal with this stuff because he opens doors for people and can at least show enough compassion to smile. It's people like you, caution that old people don't like teenagers.

a few weeks ago, there was a car full of teenagers and an old guy (looked at least 60) crossing the street .. the teenagers stopped the car in front of the old guy because he was jaywalking. they yelled "USE THE loving CROSSWALK" and then sped off.

I lol'd because you'd think it would be the other way around..

Exactly my point.

You don't have to go on a "mind-changing" crusade to get the respect you want for yourself and your generation.

It's the simple things like smiling, opening doors, and general kindness that gets you respect.
