Well, After School Special is 800kb I think. So I could at least make large chunks.

It depends if it gets ignored by the resource manager or the part when it starts the server.

probably the only songs allowed full for sure would be ones offered as free from indie groups

If you can find a full song that fits in 1 MB .ogg then go ahead.

Music is done in the server start thing.

If the server will ignore it, and you have it enabled on the server when you start it, it will also remove it from the BG Music thing, but you can still use it before starting the server/by not enabling it.
But I'm not sure about the Advanced Music player.

I just tested it.

Advanced Music Player will still play files over 1024 KB.
Though anything over 4 MB isn't recommended for it, as it's likely to crash during sync.

Well, It is a 1:14 long song. And at 800kb? I could at least take out a big chunck of song. Or edit it so it's so changed and short like Need For Speed does.

Well now they do because of the cache thing. People flipped out over the initial cache thing, so now even defaults aren't in it.
