Author Topic: Bonfire Night  (Read 1873 times)

Not sure if any of you Americans celebrate it but tonight was Bonfire night marking the night that a treason attempt using lots of explosives was attempted(And failed) by Guy Fawkes.

Just got back from a firework display at my local park. Was good fun with friends.

Pictures [Taken near the beginning, the later fireworks were amazingly better, Heh.] :

Sorry the picture quality isn't great but it was a 2mp phone camera. Did/will anybody else celebrate bonfire night tonight?

Why would you celebrate the day when someone attempted treason?

That seems like an odd thing to celebrate.

That's what I think, then I think: "Hey free firework diplays." Half of the people who go to see these fireworks don't even know what they're celebrating anyway. lol

Learned it in Algebra II.

It's weird, nothing really to celebrate... Eksi.

Britain doesn't celebrate the day we left it.

Independance day? Some idiots actually celebrate it here for some reason. It's not like it's the day we lost a majority of our Empire or anything.
