Author Topic: What Scripting Language Should I Learn?  (Read 1043 times)

So I have decided to teach myself how to code, yay me.

What should I start with, where can I go for tips/tutorials?

I'm gonna start with C++

BASIC programming for your ti84 graphing calculator is where I started

Start with something small and easier, to get used to syntax and whatnot.

Like ActionScript or TorqueScript (very similar IMO)

Javascript is fun and runs on a system similiar to variables.

But I would learn either Lua or C++.

C++, LUA, or TorqueScript.

ActionScript
I want to learn this so I can make flashes that don't suck

Torque would probably be the most fun since you can mess around in blockland =P Some of the concepts are similar to languages like C++ to so it'll help if you move on to anything like that.
