Author Topic: (TBAS) Team Brickless Absolute Spawning  (Read 5345 times)

This isn't a particularly big add-on, but I thought it might help in some certain servers, including my own.

This mod allows admins of a server with this mod to set some spawn points that will take priority over any brick spawns, and will apply to everyone automatically.

Commands:
/usebas (1 for yes, 0 for no)
/addspawn (adds your current position to the spawn stack)
/clearpoints (clears the spawn stack, you should type "/usebas 0" until you've set at least on spawn)
/teamusebas (1 for yes, 0 for no)
/teamaddspawn <team number> (adds your current position to the spawn stack, for the team given)
/teamclearpoints <team number> (clears the spawn stack for that team)

Example of tbas use:
Code: [Select]
*make a team death game, with lets say, two teams for this example, red first and blue second*
*for this example it's just two spawns and two teams, but you can have more of everything*
*make it the default minigame*

*these next four commands are optional, but reccomended*
/usebas 0
/teamusebas 0
/teamclearpoints 0
/teamclearpoints 1

*walk to first red team spawn*
/teamaddspawn 0
*walk to second red team spawn*
/teamaddspawn 0
*walk to first blue spawn*
/teamaddspawn 1
*walk to second blue spawn*
/teamaddspawn 1
/teamusebas 1

Notes:
--If someone joins in the middle of a limited lives minigame and there aren't any actual spawns then they might go to where ever the default spawn point of the map is.
--Don't use bas and tbas types together.
--Don't use tbas outside of a defaulted tdm.
--Regular bas can be used in or out of a dm.

looks fine, i might dl.

Holy stuff wait
that's lovey.

Correct, sir!

This is actually quite good.

Notes:

1. Obviously this doesn't work in TEAM minigames. But it works fine in a regular deathmatch.
2. It picks a spawn at *random* when you spawn.
3. I tested it and didn't find any problems, but do report any bugs if you see any.

You should work on a team based one.

Um, I don't get this.

EDIT: I'm a dumbstuff.

Life is now easier, thanks a lot.

You should work on a team based one.

Yes please.

If you're making it work with teams, you can probably make it work with zombies and stuff too.

I still don't understand this very well.

Is the BAS a brick or an invisible spawn? And what happens if you set multiple BAS?

And what do you mean by this?
/clearspawns (clears the spawn stack, you should type "/usebas 0" until you've set at least on spawn)

You can set up as many spawns as you want by repetivaly typing /addspawn
My "the BAS" you mean "the spawn point" and sence there can be many, you mean "a spawn point".
And it's just a number in the program at that point, no bricks.
And by that I mean that you shouldn't have people spawn while there aren't any spawns.

Does this overwrite and/or disable checkpoint events?
