Author Topic: Windows 7 port forwarding (again)  (Read 1046 times)

Hello.

I forwarded my ports.. "28000, TCP, Ip adress (and such)"

I Got my DNS numbers...

BUT! From there i am stuck. Remember this is on windows 7 and please help.

Note: IT DOSENT FORWARD MY PORTS AUTOMATICALLY! There is no ping on my server and its anoying! Help now please!
What i am actually looking for is where i find "Network and dial up settings" so i can place my DNS numbers.. But its not the same on windows 7.

Your OS has nothing to do with port forwarding. Do to your command prompt and type in ipconfig. Then find the IPv4 Address and use that.

Hmm.. Explain further please..

DOUBLE POST!

Sorry.. So i found the adress and i use it as Ip adress in my virtual server for the ports: 28000?

It's hard to explain considering I don't know what kind of router you have. Also try http://portforward.com/

I can't find my routher on the list

I think what he's trying to do is set up a static IP on his computer, in which case OS would make a huge difference.

Go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center.

You should see something similar to this http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5374/ss20101106173938.png

Click the text that says Local Area Connection, click properties at the bottom, and then double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and put in your IP and DNS server addresses in there.

Thats it! I Think.. Let me try..
