When it wasn't about free-building anymore, that's where it took a wrong turn down the alley of boredom.
What the hell are you talking about? That part of the game is just awful.

It was never about free building, that was an outdated portion of the game, survival mode has always been the plan.

Although he is going to update creative with the new stuff once survival is done further.

minecraft is kinda lame.
This. I never play for more than a few minutes before getting bored.
The fanboys are horrible too they never shutup about minecraft

I dont realy like mine craft because to me its not my type, running around with a twig and killing cows wtf?

First one here to say I like Minecraft for the boring stuff?
Its not just about running around with a twig and killing cows.
It includes mining, exploration, discoveries and treasures. Building huts, to houses, to whole communities with the resources that are around-about. And still having the edge of scare that you get from being in the dark, mining really deep, or staying out at night to look at stars. Its not just walking around and hitting blocks to get stuff, its about putting your creative minds to the game and giving it what you feel should be created. I personally would take my mind off to play Minecraft for its beautiful landscapes and all the functions to the game, flowing water for example is a key source, letting you run items down a stream, or capping off an area and letting whatever gets in the water flow to lava or some sort, or just having waterfalls and beautiful creations.
Think about the good of the game, not the bad parts and the boring parts and the parts you encountered playing only five minutes walking around, and not more time exploring and mining and crafting, creating, and constructing.

It's like you're a sick optimist:
"Batman, we're dangling by a weak rope over a pit of lava with zero chance of escape!"
"Look on the bright side robin- You'll never get veangence after I raped and killed your mother!"
"Holy cowslip-"
Ploosh.

Minecraft is only fun if you have a sense of exploration

or OCD

Minecraft is only fun if you have a sense of exploration
If you can't see a mountain and think "I NEED TO CLIMB THAT NOW" you don't deserve to breathe.

Minecraft only blows atm because the lack of MP features, when there is danger and actually building stuff means something then it'll be fun. Currently its "Admin cheats best tools and everyone mines pointlessly".

The singleplayer is no fun because your just soloing everything and it looses appeal extremely fast, any and all attempts of creations are nothing towards anything because if no one else is there to enjoy it its no fun.
