What is ATFclan.eu? I know it is a clan that hosts Blockland servers but I can't find a website or anything on it.

It's Warground's website. Stulle, and him are both german.

According to Warground, ATFclan is a cross game clan consisting mainly German speaking members. The minimal age requirement is 16, and according to Warground the clan leader is in his 30s. They host using hetzner's server rental and use the EQ 4 model for the blockland servers, which includes Kalphiter's TDM server, and is how it holds so much people without lag.

I'm assuming you would aqcuire this by payment.

Is it open to anyone?

I would like to buy one.

I was thinking of setting up a paypal and having donations come in. It would work as a group effort to pay for it. In return I, or whoever owns the paypal, would distribute remote access tools and permission so you each can access it.

The only problems are that it is a thing that relies on trust with other members. People can easily get your private add-ons if you put them onto the server, and could also infect the server as well. This is why if this were to be done, it should only be done with trustworthy, contributive members like Chrono and Jaydee, who don't stuff around in off topic posting memes all day.

The server, if used for purely blockland, could easily hold up to 100 players. It would also be useful for hosting 24/7 clan dedicateds that can hold many bricks. The problem is that the server can range from $60-$120 depending on how you customize it. If you pick to install windows web edition (+$15 a month) or windows standard (+$25 a month), it would come set up for you. You could also use this rescue system thing which allows you to install your own OS onto the server, but I don't know much about that.

This is the model of the server I was thinking about purchasing

Again, it would be really cool if we got a few people together and all contributed to one so blockland could actually have some good, non laggy, servers that are up 24/7.

Back in time, Stulle and Warground proposed selling some BL servers out, just for a little extra profit.

Anyways, partitioning like that is really good.

How I wish Google translator would pop up any second now.
get chrome.

In all honesty its not really worth a 24/7 server, the only time it'd be good is if you have an income yourself and you're a hardcore dedicated Blockland player.

that, and the dedicated servers that i've seen tend to have almost nobody in them most of the time
and you could just use your computer to host it anywho, if you can keep it on, then restart it every once in a while if you need to

Yea, that is why if this were ever to come to blockland, whoever would use it should probably put a few other games on there like minecraft and such. I still think it would be a cool idea but the main problem is not many blockland players could afford it, or even afford to pitch in.

Its free, stulle is giving me and flaw a server

We do not propose making money with that. That would be too much work and could get problems with the terms of blockland. Oh wait, there are no terms, lol. But it's not that easy to get a server:

Flaw got a server from us because we liked his project. He has a team and a nice script / gamemode. They know how to code, how to build and how to do graphical stuff.
We support good ideas to make this game better. On most servers is just spam and crap, sorry.

Our servers start all with the same name, in each game we play. For example if you look for ModernWarfare1 servers you will find us, too. That's common practice in all online games, because usually a whole clan hosts/rents a server.

As you can see, most servers in online games start with a clan tag or a clan website.

Before you guys start spamming this thread with requests: No, you can't have a server. First, we can't host hundreds of servers and second, we have enough bl friends who also want to have one.
