Author Topic: Super Admin cant build anywhere?  (Read 703 times)

On my dedicated server I cant edit other players blocks without trust. Is there a way around this or can I only destruct-o-wand non-trust players?

It's for safety. Unless you edit your trustprefs.cs, you can only D-wand, or ask them to delete/edit it.

This is true my friend.

Mostly true anyways. Even with an edited trustprefs.cs, you can't just go and modify people who don't have trust.

It's a mutual thing. Both players have to join the server and have full trust with each other on the list.

just seems odd that the owner of a dedicated server cant affect its users blocks other than to destroy them....

They can if they know how to script or use console very well.

Which needs time to learn how to enter commands and such. All I can do is talk though the console when I host, and that's about as far as most people get. People like Chrono probably know much more about console commands.

If there wasn't already an add-on that let super admins build anywhere, I'd make one.

when talking to somebody like chrono, why say chrono instead of you?

didn't know there was one, although wouldn't you basicaly just edit the error for trust? and add a SA check or something

The Destructo-wand is an admin tool. It's primary function to regulate specific bricks on the server. Besides to remove bricks placed where they shouldn't be, there is no good reason to allow admins to impose control over another user's bricks.

It's possible.
And has practical uses.

Sure, it has uses, but if the trust system can't account for it, it probably isn't anything every admin should be equipped with.

Cause he know a lot more console commands than me
