The first robbery involved two people going in to a gamestore in the later hours, and robbing the store at gunpoint. They stole 4 crates of Call of Duty: Black Ops which totalled to over 100 copies of it.

its  not so easy robbing a larger store, but when you know a HUGE stock of spendy items will be in a certain day, thats a plan.

easily sell them for 50 bucks each on ebay.
thats 5,000 dollars at least. for a very easy get-away job.

Since call of duty would be overhyped and everoyne would be stuffting their pants over it and desperately trying to buy it, they rob 100 copies and go resell it so then they'd get profit themselves.
