Well the 6 series is rather old and you're not going to be able to do that. I'd try and save up a bit more for a 9400, or even better a 9800

The 6100, 6200, 6600, and 6800 are part of the 6 series
The 7100, 7200, 7300, 7500, etc are part of the 7 series
The 210, 220, 240, 250, 260 etc are part of the 200 series

In other words, you're better off just buying a new computer, really.

Just because the motherboard has integrated video doesn't mean you can't but a dedicated video card on it.
While he would be better off with a new computer, I don't think he has the money for it. If his mom put a 9400GT in the same exact computer, it'll work just fine

Your video memory and system memory are two different interfaces, when dealing with discrete graphics anyway. Integrated graphics processors often reserve some amount of your system memory since they have little or none on the graphics chip.
