Huh. A DM lesson would be very interesting. Fighting techniques and such.
Yes, I would enjoy it but it may seem kind of stupid to some people, as in "HURRR DURRR U THINK U FIGHT WEL ENUF TO BE A TEACHER HURRR". Also we don't want this to end up like a military training camp. Of course, it could always just be a small "P.E." class.

And if you approve my application, can I help out with teaching DM techniques? I will be able to start working on my app probably the weekend after Thanksgiving.

#1: Bump
#2: I have a friend who's buying BL. I want to tell him to join this clan as a student. Are you ready to take on students? His username is ErykDWN.

1. Alright cool, I would be happy to add you as a DM teacher.
2. Once we get more students, then yes, I'd love to. Also there are gonna be separate classes: public ones, where anyone can join if they sign up, and private ones, which are classes for Blocklanders within the clan, where the teachers essentially share ideas and tips.
EDIT: And in the private ones, people who aren't teachers but are in the clan can get private "tutoring", if you will.

Let me just say, I vote a 100% yes to Celtic Wolf. And, when he was over at my house the other day, he was telling me some techniques that in my opinion sound pretty good. But, like I said, I'm just giving a vote, and I have no power whether he gets in or not. It's totally up to you to if he does it or doesn't. I just thought I should give you some peer evidence. (if that's even a phrase)

You're both loving idiots.

:D
Cool. I'm sorry about the delay with the app... BL isn't working very well but I think I can get it fixed soon.

EDIT:
Toady told me he is interested in learning in the DM class.

Also, as I said earlier I'm not very good at building or eventing. Should I still do an app of one of those, or something else? DMs aren't much related to builds. I am developing a list of "Survival Rules" for DMs or ZAPT fights. Could I use that instead?

Even if this doesn't count as an app, I'm submitting it for P.E. class. I'd much rather use this as my app, though, because building/eventing is not my specialty. It's always going to be a W.I.P. due to updates in mods and stuff, but here's the current copy:

BASIC RULES OF SURVIVAL IN A DM/ZAPT SERVER
============================================
#1: Keep moving! It is infinitely easier to shoot a person standing still than it is to shoot a alert and dodgy one.  Do whatever you have to do to avoid the bullets flying at you. If you're sniping, don't stay in one spot for more than 1 or 2 kills, and don't pick obvious spots like a huge tower. This also works for ZAPT. Never stop for longer than it takes to pick up an item or two and heal.
#2: Help others and they will help you. On a ZAPT server, unless they're too far gone or very far away, always try to help someone in a bad position. If somebody's healing, cover them and they will probably cover you so you can heal, too.
#3: After shooting, even just one bullet, always, ALWAYS reload if you have time. You never know when you might need that extra bullet to shoot down that plane or to take down the Tank.
#4: Don't waste limited-use explosives on just one or two enemies. The only good use for an explosive is for high-health enemies (The Tank), vehicles (for RLs), or groups of 3 or more foes.
#5: Use team chat. That way the other team can't hear you planning.
#6: Stick together. In DMs, if you're down and dirty with an automatic or a shotgun it's nice to have some buddies helping you out. In ZAPT, many zombies can easily kill you alone, but with just one other person, you gain a much greater chance of living. Try to have 2 or more companions at all times in ZAPT; in DMs 1 buddy at least is a good idea unless you're sniping.
#7: Team up with people who have other talents. If you have a group with all shotguns or all sniper rifles, you probably aren't going to succeed. I try to join groups that need a sniper, and when choosing weapons I try to find out what they're getting so I don't get the same kind of thing.
I'd say the ideal 4-person team for a DM would be:
-1 with a Crossbow or Military Sniper variant
-1 with a Battle Rifle or LMG variant
-1 with an Assault Rifle variant
-1 with a Combat Shotgun variant
For ZAPT:
-1 with a sniper of some kind
-1 or 2 with automatics of some kind
-1 (if 2 automatics) or 2 (if 1 automatic) with shotguns of some kind
#8: Find a good place to recuperate. In ZAPT, find a relatively safe spot with closed-in corners to hide in or blocked entrances, then take turns healing with a buddy so you can cover each other. Pills are for on the run, Medpacks are for when you're in a safer area where you can cover each other more easily and aren't being chased.
#9: Never underestimate healing items. With just one pill which you refill when used, you can survive a lot longer than without one. On Maxwell's, if you carry a pill or two and head down into the town to grab more when you're out, you can live for a long time.
#10: Know your weapons and which kind fits you. If you know what each weapon is capable of, you should know which is best for you. Here's a listing based off of T+T weapons:

Shotguns:
PROS:
-High knockback: even if you don't kill the target immediately, it gets flung back, giving you time to fire again/run like the wind (important with zombies)
-High damage: at close range these will all but disintegrate the target, giving a great chance of a one shot kill.
-Spread: believe it or not, spread can be an asset when firing at fast vehicles or dodging enemies. Though the damage won't be great, it'll make 'em keep their heads down. This advantage goes away with distance, though.
-Crowd control: shotguns can hit many foes in a group given enough distance, and can break up groups with their knockback at closer ranges. It won't do much damage per enemy though.
CONS:
-Spread: at medium range, the most accurate of the T+T shotguns has too much of a spread for much use.
-Long reload: reloading a shotgun from 0 shells takes a long time. Rule #4 is especially important here, as you can fill it back up quickly when you've only fired 2 or 3 shells.
-Few shots: the most shells for any T+T shotgun is 8. Keep Rule #4 in mind here.
-Slow rate of fire: with Tier 1 shotguns, you may find you can't fire fast enough. If you use them properly, though, you probably won't notice this.

Automatic Weapons:
PROS:
-Spread: these are definitely the best antiaircraft weapons. The spread on these helps you keep pilots guessing, and also is great for taking out dodging foes.
-Rate of fire: the sheer volume of lead coming out of some of these weapons can be terrifying. It also makes these great against crowds.
-Large magazine: automatics have huge magazines compared to other weapons. The rate of fire takes away this advantage quickly, though.
CONS:
-Low damage: killing a single combatant with an automatic takes a while compared to the other weapon types. In ZAPT, you should get a melee along with these, as zombies will crowd you before you take many down.
-Little to no knockback: these will barely slow your enemies, which is bad in ZAPT. If a zombie gets close enough that you doubt you can easily kill it before it gets to you, use a melee or some other weapon instead.
-Rate of fire: automatics, though with huge magazines, also fire incredibly fast, emptying the clip in seconds. Make sure you fire in shorter bursts and not extended sprays, and reload after firing.

Snipers: (Magnums are like these too, but less accurate)
PROS:
-High accuracy: all snipers in T+T have 100% accuracy unless you spam shots.
-High damage: snipers can easily kill enemies in one or two shots, especially if you get a headshot in ZAPT.
-Critical hits and piercing: on headshot, T+T snipers will deal critical hits. Most T+T snipers can also shoot through bricks to a certain extent.
CONS:
-Slow rate of fire: these are not built for crowd control. In both DMs and ZAPT, if there are too many enemies you may want to pull out a melee or some pistols.
-Small magazine: snipers have magazines ranging from 1 shot to 10. Remember to reload!
-Too accurate: accuracy can be a fault when shooting at dodging enemies. If a bullet is going perfectly straight, you have to aim more instead of spraying lead everywhere.

Pistols:
PROS:
-Raycasting: pistols hit instantly, rather than flinging a projectile through the air.
-Fast rate of fire: pistols blanket an area with lead.
CONS:
-Low damage: pistols take a long time to kill with. In ZAPT, almost all the time a melee is better.
-No knockback: pistols are NOT a good CQC weapon. Never use these in ZAPT except for a single zombie with enough space to kill.

Melees:
PROS:
-Critical hits: melees instantly kill all but 2 ZAPT zombies (Smasher and Tank).
-No reload: melees don't need to reload!
CONS:
-Hand-to-hand: in a DM, don't use these at all except if you have an Invisibility Watch. In ZAPT, you take a risk by letting them come.
-Slow: some melees are incredibly slow, like the Sledgehammer. Most aren't, though.

But, don't always rely on this, for there are some bitches out there who dont give a stuff about you, whether you help them or not

Some people dont rely on pills cuz they dont think the item in relation to the item in the real world doesnt suit a super healer. THIS IS NOT TRUE! USE PILLS!

Yeah, true. However unless the person in question is your typical moron who dies less than halfway there, you'd be surprised how many times this happens. And even if they don't care, it's still something ethical to do.
