Author Topic: I need a good screen recorder.  (Read 687 times)

I want to record my screen to put videos on Youtube, but I can't find a decent program to do it.
Don't even mention Fraps.

Any suggestions?

Fraps>Hypercam

Why exacly not?

Fraps is like, the only good program.

Why not fraps?
You have to pay for it. :C

Hypercam
I might look into that, but I'll wait to see if people have more suggestions.

Meh, Hypercam is ok, but it sucks sometimes.

You have to pay for it. :C

So go shovel a few driveways if you've gotten snow recently, or just help your parents around the house for, what is it, $20? nevermind it's $37.

I might look into that, but I'll wait to see if people have more suggestions.

Don't even bother, HyperCam is not meant for recording games.

The only downsides to the free version of Fraps are that you can't record for more than 30 seconds at a time, there's a "www.fraps.com" watermark at the top center of every video, and you can't save images in JPG or PNG format (I think it's JPG and PNG).

We don't have snow, and I don't have allowances or get payed for doing anything.

I was actully kidding...
What is so bad about it?

Fraps for gameplay, Camstudio is the best for me for things like screen recording.

Are you poor? Because unless your family is poor, which I doubt you are because you have a computer and Internet, your parents should be paying you for chores.
