The operating system has a built in library of symbols that contains the not-equal symbol.

I only heard of != being used as programming.

And who doesn't understand "!="?
While I do know what it means, it's kind of stupid, because looking at that with no prior knowledge, I would assume they wanted the factorial of a number to equal something.

Someone actually worked on one for PSP. It was single-player only, but it still looked cool for a portable Blockland.
