You either have something wrong with binds or you didn't record it the right way.

If you change direction, go into a different camera mode, or spray/plant with clicking, you screwed it up.
That and make sure you have the right bricks out, it doesn't save the bricks right onto your inventory, to make sure to keep whatever bricks you used in it.
