for the record  i own a katana, sakabato, jian, a simple european shortsword, a guan dao, several bokken, a full shinai and a broken one, and a few lightsabers, for what it counts. i also know and randomly do some kendo and iaido with my bros.

actually, now that i think about it, i DO have all of the disciplines of the samurai down.

no. it's probably a replica, katana's were one of the sharpest things around.

Yep, the new ones are factory made, they would never match the sharpness of the handmade ones.

I made some boffer swords which are really fun to play with. Also if no fencing what kind of swords are you talking about?

I'm into LARPing (Dagorhir to be exact, which is more fighting and less RPing). Boffer swords are fun to spar with, plus it's really easy to make weapons and such. I've already made two hand-and-a-half swords and a short sword. I'm planning on making a spear and a buster sword (For the lulz).
