The War Room - Live Action Short Film

If you did or didn't know about my obsession with movies, now you do. You might also be surprised to know that I make short films in real life, not just Blockland. This is one of those films.

The spiritual sequel to Kurt Gets Cereal, made after the film with the same name, Kurt and Matt left their shirts over after they had brought them in case of an emergency re-shoot for continuity.

Clearly the best course of action was to wear each of their shirts and then play each of them respectively. I just now decided to edit.

Note, this is the high quality but standard (4:3) definition. However it has widescreen (16:9) letterboxes. This was a choice of mine because I didn't feel like waiting for rendering and upload time.

This was really one of those spur of the moment, "I don't care about camera angles" kind of film. I made something short and, in my eyes, witty.

When you were on the ground in the blue shirt, it was pretty obvious you were choking yourself. You should have gotten someone else to do it

The point was that my character was delusional. It was obvious that I was choking myself because I wanted it to be that way.

Nah, it was a really abstract idea that I just sort of went with, putting on friend's shirts and pretending that they're there.

All of this was fleshed out as I went, and I think I even shot the pizza roll scene first before the rest.

Funny where my mind takes me.

I love the music in the intro and ending 


It was also very enjoyable altough having some cheesy moments I found it funny.

And some unexpected and intresting camera angles I might add.

Title have any refrence to a movie?

If it does, then it wasn't intentional. There was a movie called The War Room, however this was simply a play on the fact that they're (I'm) playing Risk.

Was this slightly based off that old disney short film with the old dude playing chess with himself? :D
Also I laughed when the guy in the Guy Fawkes mask came in

I really liked this. For some reason I was a richard and expected you to slip up on a movie project, but it's actually really great! The only thing you could do is get some better lighting and more interesting angles, but damn man, this stuff was great. :)
