My in-game name and IRC name are the same. Mr. Blockhead = Both.
I once went to a server and saw someone with the name mrblockhead2 there.
I also went to IRC and saw the same person. He ticked me off.

I often use RTBs IRC to invite people to help me with things or discuss my servers and whatnot, however recently I've found people using my name in IRC. As usual, I get the same BS story "oh I was testing out changing names". This happened once before and someone claimed they "were testing it and about to log off". Same old crap.

Basically, if you want to talk to me on IRC, you do it at your own risk. I recommend sending me a PM for a password or something if you wish to chat about important or private things.


Anyone else ever had their username taken on RTB by some whore?

Why would someone who's testing names change to "IcyGamma" and not something like "testingnames".

HOW TO SOLVE YOUR NAME BEING TAKEN
Open up any IRC client (yes, there are more than just RTB) in CentralChat, using your ordinary nickname, then type the following in the chat: /msg nickserv register (password) (email).
When using the RTB Client afterwords, make sure the "Custom Username" is set ON. Type in your nickname, and the password you've registered.
ogm you're done.
